New Beginning

Just started a blogging class called Behind the Scenes with Kim Klassen and Xanthe Berkeley.  The first task is to document "Why" "Why do you love to blog? Why do you like to share?"  The answer is.... as of yet I don't, but I would like to.  I want to connect with other creative people who have some of the same interests that I do.  I also don't really know how to do all the little things to make a blog pretty, and interesting so I am hoping that some of it I will learn in class and the rest I will pick up on the way.  Wish me luck and I will write some more tomorrow, or maybe later as I started late and I am behind so if I have time to go to the second task I might just be posting again!

Another beautiful day for a walk.  This time Lory came with us as well.  The wind was pretty chilly when we started but once we got to the trail behind the museum we didn't notice it anymore.  It is such a nice walk going that way.  It's like a beautiful forest walk but right in town.  It would be even nicer if it was at least twice as long.  We kept it to just 5 miles today as yesterday's 6.8 really tired both of us out for the rest of the day.

Went for a walk with Cindy this morning.  We walked up Loop Road and partially down Sackner. It was a beautiful morning for a walk.  I am sure glad I ditched the exercise bike! Took a few photos, some turned out better than the others. I was to busy visiting to focus on my settings, sigh, will have get better at that.  Anyway here they are.

These are the photos I took on my walk April 17/12.  I am loving getting outside again after being inside all winter.  I will love it even more once things start to green up.

I love this one with the bluebird.  Aren't they supposed to signify happiness?  Not sure if this is true in the rest of the world but in my world that's what I am going with.

Isn't it amazing how the simplest things can be so beautiful.  Love the bokeh in the background and the water drops on the ends.

Love this shabby baby, she looks so cute.

Not sure what it is about an old fence that appeals to me but for some reason they always do.  They are even better with birdhouses.

I love my neighborhood. Even at this time of year I find it very beautiful.

Spruce Kings Camp

I spent the weekend at the Spruce Kings Hockey camp watching James try out for a spot on the team.  I used the time spent at the arena trying to learn how to take action pictures with my new camera.  I got a few that turned out ok, but I definitely have a lot more to learn. James didn't make the final cut but he had a good time and definitely held his own.
